MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421011923 A) filed by Ettrick Innovations Private Limited, Maharashtra, on Feb. 20, 2024, for 'a geocoding system based on a device location and method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A geocoding system based on a device location and method thereof is disclosed. A receiving module receives text including an address, geographic coordinates, or an organization name. A detection module detects the address, geographic coordinates, or the organization name in the text using a pattern-matching algorithm. A generation module performs geocoding or reverse geocoding on the address, the organization name, or geographic coordinates to generate geocoded data. An output module generates an output based on the resulting geocoded data or reverse geocoded data in-place with the text or providing the geocoded data or reverse geocoded data to an application."
