MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010148 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'adjustable workpiece holding device.'
Inventor(s) include Shreshta Bandhu Rastogi.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable workpiece holding device includes a frame 1 configured with multiple wheels 2 that enables movement of frame 1 over ground surface, an imaging unit 4 for determining dimension of workpiece, and accordingly a sliding unit 5 provides movement to a connected bar 6 to create space on frame 1 that is accessed by user to insert a first end of workpiece, a display panel 7 for enabling user to input regarding length of workpiece to be cut, multiple members 8 arranged on bar 6 for providing movement to workpiece for translating workpiece, a laser sensor for detecting length of workpiece translated towards a second end of workpiece, upon matching user specified length, multiple pins 9 arranged on bar 6 extends to lock workpiece on frame 1, a moisture sensor mapped on bar 6 for detecting presence of moisture on workpiece, an air blower 11 for drying detected moisture."
