MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010147 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated axle shaft manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Vineet Saxena; and Sunil Kumar Gaur.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated axle shaft manufacturing device comprises of a housing 1 arranged with display panel 2 to provide input regarding axle shaft's diameter, a robotic arm 3 to access a chamber 4 stored with metallic rods, a furnace 5 accessed for positioning gripped rod, a heating unit 6 integrated within furnace 5 for heating the rod, a cylindrical die 7 accessed by arm 3 for positioning hot rod, a circular flap 8 over which rod thumped over by hammering unit 9 to flatten end of rod to form a disc, a water container 10 dipped with rod for quenching the rod, a motorized chuck 11 engaged with rod, a turning tool 12 integrated on bar 13 for reducing diameter of rod, and a drilling unit 14 assembled within the housing 1 via a telescopically operated pole 15 to position the drilling unit 14 on periphery of the disc."
