MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010155 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'currency collection system.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A currency collection system, comprising a cuboidal body 1 developed to be installed at a public surrounding, plurality of rods 2 are attached with body 1 for providing support, a computing unit installed with a user interface to input details, a display panel 3 mapped on body 1 for displaying specified purpose, a slot 4 is crafted on body 1 for enabling a user to insert a bank note, a manual lid 5 is attached with slot 4 or enabling user to expose or cover slot 4, an array of image sensors arranged within housing for detecting an amount imprinted on bank note, a printing unit 6 installed on body 1 for printing a receipt having information regarding name and contribution percentage of purpose, a keypad 7 installed on body 1 for enabling a concerned person to input an authenticated serial code."
