MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010143 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'ethernet cable insertion device for router.'
Inventor(s) include Arun Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ethernet cable insertion device for router, comprising a C-shaped extendable body 1 accommodated over an ethernet cable that is to be plugged into a router, a laser acuity sensor detecting diameter of cable for extending body 1 for position free-ends of body 1 in contact with each other, a camera 4 detecting exact location of ethernet port on router, on the basis of exact location microcontroller actuates a laser projection unit 5 to project laser beam to guide a user for positioning body 1 in front of port, a curved member 6 configured with body 1 via a motorized hinge 7 actuated by microcontroller for tilting member 6 to press retaining latch, followed by actuation of bearings 8 for translating cable in view of inserting connector within port."
