MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010152 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'handheld zipper/button fastening device.'
Inventor(s) include Rohit Kumar Singh Gautam.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld zipper/button fastening device, comprising, an elongated body 1 that is accessed by a user for fastening zipper or button, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 embedded on body 1 for capturing multiple surrounding images, a telescopically operated rod 3 integrated on body 1 for positioning a U-shaped member 5 integrated on rod 3, multiple motorized hinges 4 are integrated within U-shaped member 5, a robotic arm 6 arranged on body 1 for holding user's cloth and a motorized gripper 7 is arranged on body 1 to prevent entangling of user's hairs with fastened zipper or button."
