MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010153 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'paint roller cleaning device.'
Inventor(s) include Himansh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A paint roller cleaning device comprises of a cylindrical body 1 having and second portion, developed to be placed with a paint roller to be cleaned, a touch enabled screen 3 mounted on the body 1 to give input commands for placing the roller within the body 1, a proximity sensor positioned within the body 1 for detecting positioning of the roller, at least four electronic nozzles 5 configured within the body 1 for dispensing cleaning solution on roller, a laser acuity sensor position on the ring 7 detects diameter of the roller, a motorized iris lid 9 embedded within the ring 7 to close, a camera 12 mounted within the body 1 for detecting removal of paint, a pair of electronic valves 10 configured within the body 1 for dispensing the water on roller, and an air blower 13 mounted within the body 1 for drying the roller."
