MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010133 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'wind energy harvesting device.'

Inventor(s) include Himansh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wind energy harvesting device comprising a platform 1 positioned on water body, a rotor 2 equipped with blades 3 configured on platform 1 rotates due to wind, a camera 5 detects presence of the platform 1 on water, an inflatable member gets inflated via compressor paired with member for allowing platform 1 to float over water, a dynamo coupled with a shaft attached with rotor 2 to convert wind energy into electrical energy, a battery paired with dynamo to store electrical energy, a pair of charging pins 6 electrically paired with battery and installed with each of slots 8, to be engaged with terminals of auxiliary rechargeable batteries that a user desires to charge, a voltage sensor installed on pins 6 for detecting voltage within auxiliary batteries, and a motorized propeller 7 to rotate for translating the positioning the platform 1 at the shore of the water body."
