MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411094515 A) filed by Sumeet Singh; and Kritika Sharma on December 02, 2024, for “a Novel And Sustainable Process For Producing Amino Acid-Based Fertilizer Enriched With Potassium And Phosphates Using Waste Human Hair, Naturally Sourced Minerals And Defined Range Of Temperature"..

Inventors include Sumeet Singh; and Kritika Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The invention discloses a novel process for preparing a lignin-encapsulated nano-amino hydrolysate fertilizer in which the keratinous waste is hydrothermally hydrolysed to yield nano-sized amino peptides, which are encapsulated using lignin extracted from pine needles via alkaline solubilisation followed by pH-triggered precipitation. The resulting product exhibits enhanced stability, controlled nutrient release, increased foliar absorption, high nitrogen bioavailability, environmental safety, and complete biodegradability.
