MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611067960 A) filed by Dit University on May 30, 2026, for “a Skill Development Delivery System For Remote Hill Y Regions”.
Inventors include Dr. Brajlata Chauhan; Dr. Subodh Kumar; Dr Gurjinder Singh; and Dr. Amit Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a skill development delivery system and method for remote and hilly regions is disclosed, comprising a curriculum engine configured to provide short-duration, trade-specific training modules, preferably of seven-day duration, and a deployment layer enabling localized delivery through village-level infrastructure or mobile training units. The system includes a trainer management layer for assigning expert or local trainers, a practical learning layer for delivering integrated theory and hands-on training including micro-projects, and an assessment and certification layer for conducting practical evaluations and issuing certifications. A post-training support layer facilitates livelihood generation through mentorship, toolkit support, and market linkages. The system further supports low-literacy learners through local-language and visual instruction, may include offline-capable digital support and monitoring dashboards, and enables cost-effective, accessible skill development leading to employment or self- employment within rural communities.
