Specifically, the invention relates to a novel green synthesis methodology for the preparation of transition metal complexes—comprising Copper [Cu(II)], Cadmium [Cd(II)], Cobalt [Co(II)], and Nickel [Ni(II)]— with hydrazone/oxime Schiff base ligands derived from bioactive sulfur-containing compounds isolated from Allium sativum (garlic). The invention further encompasses the structural characterization of these novel metal chelates using a comprehensive battery of spectroscopic and analytical techniques, and their evaluation for significant pharmacological activities including antioxidant, anticoagulant, anticancer (cytotoxicity against MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line), and anti- inflammatory activities.
