The device features an ergonomic housing enclosing an embedded microcontrolled edge-computing core, a local alphanumeric visualizer, a multi-parametric ambient atmospheric sensor cluster, and an downward-extending subterranean probe. Upon probe insertion into a crop soil matrix, the device gathers real-time subterranean moisture variables alongside concurrent ambient temperature, relative humidity, and incident solar radiation parameters. The microcontrolled core executes an onboard modified Penman-Monteith evapotranspiration predictive math model to determine continuous crop water loss kinetics (ET_c). Through a context-adaptive dual-mode configuration, wind speed vectors are extracted either completely network-free via an onboard physical anemometer (Mode 1) or via an infrastructure-lean GPS/GSM-enabled location coordinate server repository lookup (Mode 2). The system calculates the remaining time before the root zone moisture drops below a threshold level, outputting a precise countdown directly onto the local display screen.
