Abstract: ABSTRACT “HANDLING NON-ACCESS STRATUM COUNT AND SECURITY CONTEXT FOR STORE-AND-FORWARD OPERATIONS IN A NON- TERRESTRIAL NETWORK” The invention provides a method of handling Non-Access Stratum (NAS) count and security context for store-and-forward operations in a non-terrestrial network. Further, the method includes receiving, by a User Equipment (UE) (102), a broadcast information from a network apparatus. Further, the method includes storing, by the UE (102), a plurality of security contexts associated with a respective satellite identifier. Further, the method includes selecting, by the UE (102) based on the received satellite identifier, a security context from the plurality of security contexts stored at the UE. The selected security context corresponds to the satellite identifier of the satellite currently serving the UE (102).
