Abstract: Abstract An adaptive image super-resolution system and computer-implemented method are disclosed for enhancing low-resolution digital images across continuous, arbitrary dimensions without relying on fixed integer scaling factors. The system includes an input interface for receiving a low-resolution image tensor and a user- specified target dimension, which may represent a non-integer scaling value. A dynamic resolution scaling module automatically calculates the required spatial transformation ratio and configures the latent layers of an improved Real-ESRGAN image enhancement engine. Concurrently, a degradation compensation module isolates and removes atmospheric blur, sensor noise, and compression artifacts to prevent defect amplification. The improved generative framework processes the optimized features through specialized residual dense blocks configured for continuous coordinate space querying. An adaptive image reconstruction module then executes sub-pixel coordinate alignment and texture synthesis, producing a high-resolution output matrix that matches the target dimensions exactly while preserving structural integrity, edge sharpness, and geographical accuracy.
