Abstract: ABSTRACT STABILIZED REFERENCE MILK POWDER FOR MID-INFRARED ANALYZER CALIBRATION AND METHOD FOR PREPARATION THEREOF The present invention provides a stabilized reference milk powder composition for calibrating mid-infrared milk analyzers and method for preparation thereof. The composition comprises dairy-derived proteins, milk fat, lactose and stabilizing agents capable of reconstituting into a homogeneous emulsion suitable for calibration. The invention comprises reference milk powder that can be reconstituted into various distinct formulations with fat, protein and lactose in the range of 4– 10%, 2.5–7% and 4.5–7% respectively. The powder is formulated for complete and rapid reconstitution in water to simulate the compositional characteristics of fresh milk or high-fat dairy products. It enhances stability against fat separation, oxidation and compositional drift, thereby ensuring reproducible Mid-IR calibration results over extended periods. The powders are further designed to resist microbial growth and maintain target analyte concentrations during storage and transport under ambient conditions.
