Abstract: Abstract An artificial intelligence-powered multi-sensor wearable assistive system is disclosed for facilitating autonomous mobility, semantic spatial mapping, and enhanced social interaction for visually impaired individuals. The system is integrated within an ergonomic goggle frame containing an edge-computing architecture driven by a low-power main processing unit running optimized deep learning models locally. A frame-mounted high-definition camera module captures continuous real-time video streams, which are downsampled and routed through an advanced object detection pipeline utilizing multi-scale feature extraction, path aggregation networks, and decoupled detection heads. The system performs real-time object classification, human re-identification, social attribute extraction, and user-triggered optical character recognition. By fusing spatial layout vectors with global positioning data, the system translates environmental changes into clear, conversational natural-language audio feedback. This enables users to build an accurate mental map of their surroundings and safely navigate dynamic, unconstrained environments.
