The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: A robotic assistant system, JARVIS Arm, for voice-controlled and gesture-based object handling is disclosed. The system comprises an object-detection module (YOLOv8), a hand-gesture-recognition module (MediaPipe Hands), and a speech-recognition module coupled to a Python processing module that fuses detected objects, recognized gestures, and voice commands into a single control command. The command is transmitted to an Arduino Uno microcontroller over a serial interface using a four-stage command-acknowledgment protocol comprising a command string, an acknowledgment, PWM target angles, and a completion status. The microcontroller drives a PCA9685 servo driver to generate pulse-width-modulation signals for a plurality of servo motors actuating a multi-degree-of-freedom robotic arm and gripper to perform pick-and-place, gripper-open, gripper-close, and arm-reset operations in a continuous operating cycle. The system is operable through voice commands alone, gestures alone, or a combination thereof, and includes a regulated power supply with buck conversion, without requiring a dedicated AI computer or cloud processing.
