MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010422 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'a bracket for securing a seat belt retractor.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bracket (100) for securing a seat belt retractor (300) to a vehicle floor (200) is disclosed. The bracket comprises a first surface (102) configured to be affixed to the vehicle floor (200), a second surface (104) extending obliquely from the first surface (102), and a third surface (106) extending upwardly from the second face (104). The second surface (104) defines a contour-shaped profile (114) adjoining the first surface (102) and the third surface (106). The bracket (100) mounted to the vehicle floor (200) provides a stable and robust platform for the attachment and operation of the seat belt retractor (300)."
