MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441016031 A) filed by Dr. Kiranbir Singh Kohli; and Mrs. Sherry Kiranbir Singh Kohli, Dubai, U.A.E., on March 7, 2024, for 'a cascade system for a compressed natural gas fuelling station.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Kiranbir Singh Kohli; and Mrs. Sherry Kiranbir Singh Kohli.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cascade system (10) comprising cylinders (12) arranged in multiple rows and columns is disclosed. The cascade system (10) includes supply lines (14, 16, 18) operatively connected to a natural gas compressor for supplying compressed gas to the cylinders (12), and flow control valves (20, 22, 24), each associated with a respective supply line of the plurality of supply lines (14, 16, 18) (14, 16, 18). The flow control valves (20, 22, 24) regulate gas flow to the plurality of cylinders (12). The cascade system (10) comprises metallic joints (28) connecting the supply lines (14, 16, 18) to the cylinders (12). The arrangement of the cylinders (12) and the supply lines (14, 16, 18) minimizes the total number of metallic joints (28). The cascade system (10) includes cylinder safety valves (26) provided at the plurality of cylinders (12) to burst and relieve the excess pressure when the pressure in the cylinders (12) builds up. The cascade system (10) comprises a vent pipe (30) operatively connecting a manifold (32) to the cylinders (12)."
