MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022345 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., New Delhi, on March 22, 2024, for 'a charging inlet assembly of a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Harshit Anand; Sushil Jaikumar Vispute; and Ram Pravesh Yadav.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a charging inlet assembly of a vehicle. The charging inlet assembly comprises a charging inlet defined with a front portion configured to receive an external charging plug and a rear portion defined with a plurality of openings arranged symmetrically. Further, at least one wire exit cover is coupled to the charging inlet at the rear portion configured to control a direction of wires exiting the charging inlet assembly. The wire exit cover comprises a plurality of plugs arranged complimentary to the plurality of openings for securely coupling the wire exit cover with the charging inlet and to facilitate 360 degrees of freedom for selectively orienting the wire exit cover relative to the charging inlet."
