MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421038514 A) filed by Reliance BP Mobility Limited, Maharashtra, on May 16, 2024, for 'a charging unit and a method of operating the charging unit.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses a charging unit and a method for operating the charging unit (102). The charging unit (102) comprises a plurality of power modules (104), a plurality of output connectors (106) and a power distribution module (108). The plurality of connectors (112) are operatively coupled to the plurality of power modules (106) for charging an electric load (110). The power distribution module (108) comprises a plurality of contactors (112) wherein the plurality of contactors (112) are operatively connected to the plurality of power modules (106). The plurality of contactors (112) are interconnected through one or more busbars (114). Further, the interconnection of the plurality of contactors (112) is modified based on at least one of, one or more power requirements and a number of output connectors required for charging the electrical load (110)."
