MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421017073 A) filed by Proburgeon Pvt. Ltd.; and Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on March 9, 2024, for 'a chemical reactor based on a micro-mini channel and an external mechanical agitator.'
Inventor(s) include Kulkarni, Abhijeet; Raykar, Amol; Medidi, Satyarakesh; Subramani, Saravanan; and Narkinabilli, Venkatesh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a chemical reactor (100) including at least one inlet (102a), a tubular member (104), a shaft (106) and a plurality of mixing members (108). The tubular member (104) is adapted to accommodate a plurality of fluids entering via the at least one inlet (102a). The plurality of mixing members (108) are concentrically mounted on the shaft (106) and are adapted to rotate with the shaft (106) to agitate and mix the plurality of fluids. Each of the plurality of mixing members (108) includes a base plate (112a), which is concentrically mounted on the shaft (106) and defines a plurality of openings (112b) adapted to allow a flow and rotation of the plurality of fluids to mix the plurality of fluids. The plurality of mixing members (108) includes at least one screw (112c) which is adapted to be tightened to mount the base plate (112a) on the shaft (106)."
