MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311082848 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 5, 2023, for 'a clip to secure wire in a vehicle.'

Inventor(s) include Manish Prajapati; Swapnali Tukaram Pachpute; and Meghal Kshirsagar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A universal clip (100) for securing a bundle of wire (202) in a vehicle includes a body (102) having a plurality of arms (104). The plurality of arms (104) include at least one pair of support arms (106-1, 106-2), and at least one fixing arm (108). The clip further includes a plurality of sliders (110) configured slidably with the plurality of arms (104). The plurality of sliders (110) comprises at least one pair of support sliders (112-1, 112-2) and at least one anchor slider (114). The at least one anchor slider (114) is configured to fix the clip (100) to BiW (204) of the vehicle. The anchor sliders (114) is configured to slide relative to the body (102) to different positions to enable change in distance of the bundle of wires (202) from a point of fixing of the clip (100)."
