MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611009520 A) filed by Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Jan. 30, for 'a composition, a process of preparation and a system for standardizing a polyherbal formulation using triple-standardization technology (tst) .'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Varsha Raj.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a technologically advanced, scientifically standardized polyherbal formulation comprising extracts of Withania somnifera, Zingiber officinale, and Boswellia serrata, engineered using a proprietary Triple-Standardization Technology (TST). The formulation ensures precise and reproducible levels of withanolides, gingerols, and boswellic acids through controlled extraction, phytochemical quantification, stabilization, and ratio-specific blending. Each extract undergoes authentication, hydroalcoholic or ethanolic extraction, chromatographic marker evaluation, and TST-based calibration to achieve uniform phytochemical strength. Stabilized extracts are blended in a synergistic 2:1:1 ratio to enhance anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity through multi-target mechanisms including COX/LOX inhibition, cytokine modulation, and antioxidant effects. The invention addresses long-standing challenges of variability, instability, and inconsistent efficacy in conventional herbal preparations, offering a reliable, potent, and clinically relevant natural alternative to synthetic NSAIDs. The standardized formulation demonstrates superior safety, batch uniformity, and therapeutic performance suitable for chronic inflammatory and pain-related conditions."
