MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411074849 A) filed by L'Oreal, Paris, on Oct. 3, 2024, for 'a composition comprising a hydroxypropyl guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride and at least one dye and/or alkaline agent.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a composition comprising a hydroxypropyl guar 5 hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride having an average molecular weight ranging from 2,000,000 to about 3,500,000 g/mol; and at least one dye and/or alkaline agent. The composition of the present disclosure provides enhanced color uptake, long lasting color and improved cosmeticity. The present disclosure further provides a method for dyeing and/or lightening keratin fibres."
