MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411014074 A) filed by Subramaniam Sriram, Nashville, U.S.A., on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'a composition comprising an anacardic acid and process of preparing the anacardic acid.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a formulation comprising a saturated anacardic acid or pharmaceutical acceptable salt thereof and a process for preparing the saturated form of anacardic acid. The present invention further relates to the topical application of the formulation for the treatment of inflammatory disorders of skin, including psoriasis, dermatitis, UV induced skin burn, lupus, vitiligo, scleroderma, and other immune mediated skin disorders which involve Th1 and or Th17 mediated T cell disorders."
