MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611023584 A) filed by Banavrit Pvt. Ltd., Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 27, for 'a composition for culturing trichoderma to functionally condition banana plant biomass and method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a Disclosed herein is a plant-based composition (100) for culturing Trichoderma. The composition (100) comprises a plant-based carrier substrate (102) adapted as a physical support and as a nutrient source for supporting the growth of Trichoderma. The composition (100) also comprises a carbohydrate source (104) derived from a carbohydrate-rich plant fraction adapted to provide carbon and energy for development of biomass of Trichoderma. The composition (100) further comprises a nitrogenous nutrient (106) derived from plant seeds adapted for providing a nitrogen source for synthesis of cellular components of Trichoderma and a plant-based dissolution medium (108) to serves as a source of one or more micronutrients and macronutrients to support the growth of Trichoderma and for dissolving the carbohydrate source (104) and nitrogenous nutrient (106)."
