A multi-layer user interface unit provides information to, and receives user input from, a user. A sensor unit obtains sensor data representative of a physiological, environmental, or positional condition associated with the user. The processing circuit is configured to determine a contextual condition and a behavioral condition of the user and adjust one or more operational parameters of the computing device. The processing circuit is configured to control the low-power control circuit to maintain execution of one or more predefined essential functions when the high-performance processing circuit is inactive or unpowered."
