MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547059196 A) filed by Inventio Ag, Hergiswil, Switzerland, on June 20, for 'a control unit for an elevator car.'
Inventor(s) include Varma Deepak; Saxena Advitiya; Trivedi Varsha; and Walther Jacqueline.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A control unit (102) for an elevator car (100) operable by a passenger is disclosed in the present subject matter. The control unit (102) includes a grab handle (114) installed on a wall of the elevator car (100) and adapted to be held by the passenger. The control unit (102) also includes at least one button (500 702 704 802 804 900 902 904) installed on the grab handle (114) and adapted to be actuated by the passenger wherein an actuation of the at least one button (500 702 704 802 804 900 902 904) transmits an instruction to a controller (112) of the elevator car (100) to execute an operation associated with the elevator car (100) based on the instruction. Further the control unit (102) includes a haptic system (116) adapted to provide predefined haptic feedback to the passenger associated with the said operation."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 13, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/085639.
