MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441010057 A) filed by TVS Motor Company Limited, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'a cover assembly for a transmission assembly.'

Inventor(s) include Ravi Parthasarathy; Subramanian Krishnakumar; Dinesh Bhimrao Ghodeswar; and Vedhanayagam Jayajothi Johnson.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Aspects of the present invention pertain to a cover assembly (200) for a transmission assembly (125) of a vehicle (100) that comprises a first cover member (202)and a second cover member (204). The second cover member (204) isspecifically designed to fixedly mate with the first cover member (202) with the primary purpose of absorbing sound and vibrations emanating from the vehicle's (100)engine (195). This innovative design targets the reduction of noise andvibrations in the transmission assembly (125), contributing to an enhanced driving experience."
