A housing (110) includes an arc cavity having a first ignition chamber and a second ignition chamber separated by an internal partition wall. Tapered guide structures guide the wick of the cartridge through corresponding blast holes into the respective ignition chambers. A plasma arc ignition assembly disposed within the arc cavity includes an arc holder to house a plasma-based arc ignitor for igniting the wick. The device further includes a handle (115), a trigger (120), a safety switch (125), a battery module (130), and a controller configured to control ignition. A sensor unit detects a magnetic field and generates a signal to enable supply of electrical power from the battery module to the controller."
