MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321085932 A) filed by Priyanka Abhimanyu Jadhav, Satara, Maharashtra, on Dec. 15, 2023, for 'a device for desulfurization of biogas.'
Inventor(s) include Priyanka Abhimanyu Jadhav.
The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a device for desulfurization of biogas and more particularly to a device for desulfurization of biogas on household level. The device (100) includes a cylindrical vessel body (102) having a primary filter (108), a galvanically coupled metals based desulfurizing bed (110), an activated carbon bed (112), a tertiary filter (114) and a cap (118). It also comes with an inlet for biogas (104), an outlet for desulfurized biogas (106) wherein the flow of the biogas at both the places is regulated using plurality of manually operated ball valves (120) & (122). The cylindrical pressure vessel also contains an outlet(116) for draining the waste material. The device (100) offers enhanced efficiency of biogas desulfurization resulting in increased fuel efficiency, reduced risks of corrosion of the burners & other system parts and health hazards."
