MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202221064605 A) filed by Vehicle Factory, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Nov. 11, 2022, for 'a drilling jig for front casing for gun port of upgraded mine protected vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Chief General Manager.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a drilling jig for front casing for gun port of upgraded mine protected vehicle. The jig is specially designed for Gun port which is used in military vehicle and with this jig drilling process is quick and accurate. Four threaded Holes are to be created for assembly purpose i.e., assembly of front casing and rear casing of gunport within bullet proof glass and counter bore hole is to be created for assembly of handle which is used for opening and closing the cover of Gun port. Invention can be utilized in the field of mass production for producing metallic gunport used for Mine Protected and Armoured Vehicles."
