MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124873 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana, on Dec. 10, 2025, for 'a dual metal nanoparticle formulation and a method of preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses a novel multifunctional platform for cancer therapy. In particular, the present invention discloses a dual metal nanoparticle formulation and a method of preparation thereof. Combining copper's chemodynamic and photothermal properties with gold's biocompatibility enhances stability, heat conversion, and targeted delivery. Omeprazole, which is encapsulated inside the copper nanoparticles, its ATP7A inhibition sensitizes tumors to therapy, overcoming resistance."
