MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421012999 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'a film composition and a process for its preparation.'
Inventor(s) include Prachi Thareja; Manjot Singh; and Manasi Jinugu.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a film composition and a process for its preparation. The film composition of the present disclosure is prepared from a plant based material and is non-toxic and biodegradable. The film composition is used to prepare films which can be used as a packaging material in different industries. The process for the preparation of the film composition in accordance with the present disclosure is simple and economic."
