MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006334 A) filed by Maruti Suzuki India Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'a fluid spray system for a test vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Priyavrat Baliyar Singh; Ashish Gandhi; Varun V Menon; and Pawan Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a fluid spray system (10) for a test vehicle inside a test lab. The fluid spray system includes a fluid spray mechanism including a main fluid collection tray (32) equipped with a plurality of fluid spray nozzles (34) fluidly connected to a fluid reservoir. The fluid spray mechanism further includes at least one or more movable side cover trays (301-312) that can move in both lateral and axial directions of the main fluid collection tray and is adapted to collect fluid drip from an underbody of the test vehicle. The plurality of fluid spray nozzles is configured to spray fluid over the underbody of the test vehicle inside a test lab. This system allows durability and thermal shock testing of muffler components of an exhaust system of vehicle inside test lab."
