MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012297 A) filed by Uno Minda Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'a headlamp assembly for a vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Srivastava, Amit Kumar; Singh, Chandrasekhar; and Kumar, Vinod.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A headlamp assembly (100) for a vehicle is disclosed. The headlamp assembly (100) comprises a light source (102), and a plurality of reflectors (104a, 104b, 104c, 104d, 104e, 104f) configured to reflect light. The plurality of reflectors comprises a first set of reflectors (104a, 104b), and a second set of reflectors (104c, 104d, 104e, 104f) comprising a plurality of subsets of reflector (106a, 106b, 106c) configured to form light distribution patterns (LD1, LD2, LD3, LD4). The second set of reflectors (104c, 104d, 104e, 104f) are configured to reflect light from the light source (102) in a low beam direction, wherein each of the subsets of reflector (106a, 106b, 106c) of the second set of reflectors comprises a central facet (106b) configured to propagate light in a center beam direction and a set of side facets (106a, 106c) configured to cut off light propagation in a lateral direction."
