MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511126505 A) filed by Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Dec. 14, 2025, for 'a healthcare connectivity system for remote maternal monitoring and telemedicine support.'
Inventor(s) include Diya Dimri; Dr. Swati Rawat; Vaishali Gupta; and Princy Tyagi.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a smart healthcare connectivity system for maternal care in remote and underserved areas. The system comprises a mobile application for pregnant women, a cloud-based backend with an AI-driven symptom analysis engine, a telemedicine communication module, a geolocation-based provider discovery module and an appointment management subsystem. The mobile application captures pregnancy-related symptoms through structured forms or voice input, along with basic obstetric data. The backend analyser evaluates the reported information using clinical rules and trained models to assign a risk level and generate care recommendations. Depending on the result, the system provides self-care guidance, offers or schedules a teleconsultation with a healthcare provider, or recommends nearby health facilities based on the woman's location. Appointment booking and reminders are handled automatically, and the telemedicine module is designed to function under low-bandwidth conditions. The system thereby supports early detection of complications and improves continuity of maternal care."
