MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097142 A) filed by Godo Shigen Co. Ltd., Chiba, Japan, on Oct. 8, for 'a-iodo-substituted carboxylic acid.'
Inventor(s) include Komatsu Hiroto; Yamaguchi Yu; and Noda Takahiro.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides an a-iodo-substituted carboxylic acid having excellent stability against heat, light, etc. The a-iodo-substituted carboxylic acid according to the present invention is represented by general formula (1) (In the formula, R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a carboxyl group, an aliphatic group, or an aromatic group.), and the water content is in the range of 0.1-15.0 mass% and the acid component content is in the range of 0.15-3.0 mass%."
