MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511061854 A) filed by Kiet Group Of Institutions, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on June 28, for 'a low-cost, flexible and efficient health monitoring module for machines in small-scale industries.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. Kritik Sharma; Salim; Dr. Sourav Diwania; Dr. Parvin Kumar; Dr. Ankur Maheshwari; Dr. Natwar Singh Rathore; and Dr. Sumit Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a low-cost, flexible and efficient health monitoring module for machines in small-scale industries. More specifically, it relates to a sensor-based system integrated with microcontroller and display modules, designed to monitor important machine parameters such as temperature, vibration and speed in real-time to support preventive maintenance and reduce machine downtime. The system uses an Arduino-based microcontroller to collect and process data from various sensors. It is connected to a PLC using a relay module, which allows the PLC to take actions like sounding alarms or stopping the machine when the values cross certain limits. The collected data is also displayed on an LCD screen and stored for later use. This system is simple to operate, cost-effective and helps small industries maintain their machines more efficiently."
