MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421013580 A) filed by Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., Thane, Maharashtra, on Feb. 25, 2024, for 'a magnetic wiretap.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is related to a magnetic wiretap (100) for electric connector. The magnetic wiretap (100) comprises a wire connector (102) and 5 a spade terminal (110). The first frame comprises a first holder plate (120), a first closer plate (122), a first blade (112), a pair of projection (106-1,106-1) and a first magnet (104). The magnetic wiretap (100) further comprises a spade terminal (110). The second frame comprises a second holder plate (126) and a second closer plate (128), a second blade (134), a hollow cylinder 10 (108) and a second magnet (105). During operation, in the first stage the first wire (140) is inserted in the first frame. In the second stage, the second wire (150) is inserted in the second frame. The first magnet (104) and second magnet (105) is configured to lock the wire connector (102) with the spade terminal (110). The first pair of magnet (104) and second magnet attracts 15 each other to lock the wire connector (102) to the spade terminal (110)."
