According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discusses a medical measuring device to measure human regions like thoracic regions, limb diameter, head diameter etc. The device comprises of a horizontal metal calibrated limb, which is grooved and designed to accommodate 2 more limbs attached to the same. The two limbs are attached in such a way that they can be opened up and laid perpendicular to the horizontal limb, the two vertical limbs are also grooved and calibrated where one limb is openable and fixed and other limb is slidable and movable equipped to adjust and take the measurements. Any of these limbs includes a provision to attach another limb (4th limb/ measuring limb) and includes stopper and hinge. The horizontal limb includes a stopper to prevent the slidable limb from falling off. The device can further be provided with weighing machine and height measuring scale to provide a comprehensive physical measurement device."
