MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411029116 A) filed by Dr. Pushvinder Jit Singh, Chandigarh, India, on April 10, 2024, for 'a method for offloading ankle joint and a device thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Pushvinder Jit Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a method (100) and a device (200) for offloading ankle joint. The method (100) may configure to be performed on the device (200) comprising a walker boot (202), a first set of sensors, a second set of sensors, a microcontroller unit (204) and one or more pressure adjustment means (206). The first set of sensors and the second set of sensors may be configured for measuring the pressure at a sole and at an insole of the walker boot (202). The microcontroller unit (204) may comprise a differential pressure/force measurement, recording and transmitter module for measuring difference in the pressures/forces at the sole and at the insole of the walker boot (202). The microcontroller unit (204) may comprise an output unit (152) for the obtained differential pressure/force measurement. Accordingly, the device (200) facilitates adjustment of the ankle pressure based on the differential pressure/force measurement."
