The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: A METHOD FOR SCREENING COLD MIX ASPHALT COMPOSITIONS ABSTRACT A method for the performance-based screening and classification of cold mix asphalt (CMA) compositions is disclosed, integrating mechanical strength and moisture damage resistance into a unified decision framework. The method involves acquiring unconditioned and moisture-conditioned strength values from cured laboratory specimens and deriving a moisture damage resistance parameter therefrom. A strength screening threshold is established using a statistical measure derived from the performance distribution of a set of evaluated compositions. The invention jointly applies the moisture resistance criterion and the strength threshold to categorize compositions into performance groups, ensuring that only those satisfying both criteria are selected for pavement applications. This dual-criteria approach eliminates technical ambiguity associated with isolated parameter evaluation and provides a repeatable, industrially applicable solution for optimizing material selection in road construction.
