MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441033067 A) filed by K. Ramakrishnan College Of Technology, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, on April 26, 2024, for 'a mobile phone rain cover with pop-up sticker and stand.'

The pop-up sticker is designed to expand and shield the phone during rainfall, with magnets positioned on its sides to secure the cover firmly in place. Unlike conventional methods such as cases or pouches, which often necessitate manual intervention and impede phone access, this solution offers swift deployment and unhindered access to the screen while ensuring effective protection against water infiltration. The utilization of magnets guarantees a snug fit, thereby preventing water seepage."
