MUMBAI, India, June 16 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611054452 A) filed by Swami Rama Himalayan University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on April 29, for 'a multi-signal thermoregulatory wearable system for menopausal hot flash management.'
Inventor(s) include Anushka Saini; and Dr. Saloni Malik.
The application for the patent was published on June 5, under issue no. 23/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a multi-signal thermoregulatory wearable system for early detection and automated management of menopausal hot flashes. The system comprises a sensors module configured to monitor physiological parameters including skin temperature, sweat response, and pulse rate, and a processing unit configured to analyse the acquired signals and determine deviations from baseline conditions. A decision unit computes a composite risk score and compares it with a predefined or adaptive threshold to detect the onset of a hot-flash event. Upon detection, a response module automatically activates a cooling mechanism, generates user alerts, and transmits notifications to a connected mobile application. The system further enables energy-efficient operation and adaptive personalization based on user-specific data, thereby providing proactive and real-time management of menopausal symptoms."
