MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127258 A) filed by Graphic Era Deemed To Be University; and Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Dec. 16, 2025, for 'a nanocrystal-based formulation for improved poorly-soluble drugs.'
Inventor(s) include Manu Pant; and Vikrant Abbot.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides a nanocrystal-based formulation system (100) comprising drug nanocrystals (101), stabilizers (102), cryoprotectants (103), and a dispersion medium (104) designed to enhance solubility, dissolution rate, and bioavailability of poorly soluble drugs. The nanocrystals exhibit particle sizes between 80-300 nm and are produced through controlled homogenization or antisolvent precipitation. Stabilizers maintain nanoscale stability, while cryoprotectants ensure redispersibility. The formulation is suitable for multiple administration routes and significantly improves therapeutic performance."
