MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311081921 A) filed by Singh, Chander Partap, Haridwar, Uttarakhand, on Dec. 1, 2023, for 'a news channel platform.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "sharing and engagement with real-time notifications. The present invention provides a content sharing platform (100) where any user, content creator, reporter, or journalist can make their own channel and upload their own content to their channel in the local language. The user/ viewer can like, share, and comment on any content publicly on the platform. Most importantly users can subscribe to any local channel, and upon reaching to specific number of subscribers channel will be verified. The verified channels can go live and telecast their content in the live feed of the platform. The platform (100) further has a feature that allows the user to hold an instant press conference in case of an emergency, in the online press conference the user does not require any arrangements such as location and other arrangements that required in-person press conference. Further, the platform (100) provides the content to the user based on the location of the user device."
