MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511060302 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Kanpur; and King George's Medical University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on June 24, for 'a non-invasive medical device for treating lymphedema by advanced compression technology.'

Inventor(s) include Himank Agrawal; Rishab Kumar; Mohit Pandey; Darshan Samnekar; Pooja Ramakant; Suresh Kumar; and J. Ramkumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a device with personalized compression for optimal lymphatic flow stimulation where the wearable sleeve is divided into 4 or more individual air chambers, which can inflate and deflate individually. The controller unit is connected to each air pocket through pipes and shall inflate and deflate in different sequences as the user sets."
