MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511076724 A) filed by Graphic Era Deemed To Be University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Aug. 12, for 'a novel ayurvedic formulation and a method for the treatment of jaundice.'

Inventor(s) include Tanya Rawal; Dr. Shipra Agarwal; and Dr. Abhilasha Mishra.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an Ayurvedic formulation designed for the effective treatment of jaundice using a combination of old jaggery and the apical bud of the Ankh plant, followed by a specialized mineral-based mixture. The Ayurvedic formulation of the present invention has proven exciting promise in supporting liver health and aiding jaundice restoration. The technique follows a two-step technique-first with herbal pills and then with a mineral-based solution-to maximize the body's natural detoxification capability. By harnessing the detoxifying energy of jaggery and Ankh plant alongside a mineral answer, this method gives a revolutionary, natural method to jaundice care.
